EMT Class Starts February 26th

Wendover Ambulance is offering an EMT course starting February 26th. This course is offered "tuition free" by Wendover Ambulance. Although the ambulance service does not charge students a tution for the course, there are still various costs to the student in order to participate. Those costs are:

The following fees are paid directly to the ambulance service: $195 Utah Fees, $125 Textbook, and $3 CPR card. For a total of $323.

The $125 textbook and $3 CPR card fees are due the first night of class (total $128). The $195 Utah fee is due the third week of class. The remaining fees are the students responsibilities, and are paid directly to the various agencies listed above.

The TB testing and HepA/B vaccinations must be completed prior to the student beginning their clinical rotation in the hospital and their ride-alongs on the ambulance.

Students will need a stethoscope and manual blood pressure cuff. These may be obtained from various sources: internet, local drug store, or from the ambulance service. The items are usually sold together as a kit, and cost approx. $25.

Class is held on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday evenings, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Class is scheduled to end May 27.
